How to Prepare Images for a Clean PDF

Good source images lead to a better PDF. Here’s how to prepare them.

Resolution and Size

Use images that are clear enough for their purpose. For documents, around 150–300 DPI (or equivalent pixel dimensions) is usually enough. Very large images can slow conversion and bloat the PDF.

Format

We support JPEG, PNG, and WebP. JPEG is fine for photos; PNG is good for screenshots or graphics with text. WebP is supported and will be converted for the PDF.

Order

Add images in the order you want pages. Use Remove and re-add if you need to change the order before converting.

Limits

Keep the total under 20 MB and use up to 50 images per PDF for reliable, fast conversion.
